American Heart Month

Since February is American Heart Month for our humans, I brought my friend along to talk about hearts.  Did you know that the human heart beats about 100,000 times per day?  That's equivalent to 36,500,000 beats per year!

Wow - that's one hard working organ!
I've been informed by my medical staff that heart disease is a concern in our country.  Since this disease varies by state, gender and race, my mom developed an infographic to sort out all of the details.  Here is a link to her chart:
(Note - source was Center for Disease Control, and infographic was created in Tableau Public)  [You can hover over your state to see the facts that apply to you.  Also, you can click on gender to see the information change based on gender.]
The CDC has some great ways for our humans to improve their heart health here:
It's time for us to encourage our humans to love and take care of their hearts!

Zebra Zen

Do you like being you?  I like being me!  And that is what the zebra stands for...Individuality!  Sure, we all have our quirks, physical and otherwise.  But, to be accepting of our quirks is what counts the most!

Mr. Zebra - do you agree with my thinking on this subject?
He sure does!  So, embrace your uniqueness and the uniqueness of others, and the world will be a better place!
