Pieces of Pi
Happy Pi Day! Pi is a never-ending number, that starts out with these numbers: 3.1415926... The circumference of a circle, divided by the diameter always equals pi. And, here's an interesting piece of pi: If a billion decimals of pi were printed out in ordinary type, they would stretch from New York City to the middle of Kansas! How cool is that!?! Pi is celebrated today, because 3.14 represents March 14th or 3/14. It is also Albert Einstein's Birthday - so appropriate! Some people work hard to memorize as many digits of pi as they can. Not me! I look at pi in terms of dog things! In the photo above, I am imagining the pawsibilities...chewing on 3.14 beefy bones, playing with 3.14 squeaky toys, running 3.14 laps in my backyard and finally, sleeping happily for 3.14 hours!
